Biography
Sergei Sarakhanov is a portrait photographer and visual storyteller based in London, working internationally across photography and film with over 15 years of professional experience.
His practice focuses on people — revealing character, emotional depth, and personal narrative through portraiture and visual storytelling. He has photographed leading artists and cultural figures, including David Lynch, Robert Sheehan, Jack Gleeson, Wladimir Klitschko and other internationally recognized personalities.
Sergei has created visual projects for brands including Nike, Red Bull, Puma, Hennessy, Canon, Lenovo, Huawei and LG. His work has been published in The Sunday Times, Forbes, Vogue, Elle, L’Officiel and Die Zeit.
He is the recipient of the Best Photographer award and Grand Prix for the project The Eyes, recognized by the Tate photography department in London. His portfolio includes multiple solo exhibitions and international cultural projects, including the national portrait project 30 Independent created for the Ukrainian Institute.
Alongside his author work, Sergei develops educational portrait programs and conducts workshops worldwide. His teaching approach is based on personal mentorship and helps each student develop their own visual voice rather than replicate technique.
